Why doesn't Rockwood Common lend outdoor gear directly?

At this time, our space is very limited due to our mobile tool truck capacity. As we expand into a future location, we hope to add some durable gear to our lending library.

Why is Rockwood Common partnering with Geer Garage?

Durable items like camping stoves and sleeping pads can support recreation AND emergency response. Through Geer Garage, we can lend to own items and grow our inventory. Geer Garage also offers community members the opportunity to experience high-quality gear at a reduced cost to enjoy the outdoors.

Soft gear like sleeping bags or tents will require washing and repair, which we are not equipped to handle at this time. Through these lending platforms, access is expanded to more community members.
