Our needs assessment surveys and volunteer interest form show strong support for starting a regular Mending Circle meet-up! We're now looking for volunteers to help bring it to life!
What is a mending circle?
A regular informal gathering of people who come to work on clothing repair, mending, or textile based projects.
What are the benefits?
Repaired clothing! Learning new skills! Teaching skills! Dedicated time to work on projects! Community building and connections!
Do I have to know how to sew to come?
No, folks of all skill levels are welcome. Generally someone can help you with your repair needs and teach you how to make repairs yourself. Mending Circle is not a drop off repair center, but a place for folks to come together.
