Power miter saws are designed to make straight crosscuts or angled cuts for moulding, trim work, rafters and other general carpentry applications. Miter saws are highly accurate, when used properly.



This tool should NOT be used to cut metal, tile, or pipe. Specialized tools are available for these uses.



The manual Miter Frame and Backsaw are an excellent choice for smaller workpieces that could easily be thrown or damaged by this high-powered machine.



Prepare Before Use

Measure Twice, Cut Once



• Lower the blade without turning it on to check the alignment of the cut.

• Be sure to make your cut on the waste side of your piece, or your final board length will be shortened by the width of the blade (1/8”).

•Secure the board to the fence with a clamp.

• This is especially important for oversized board which may lift off the cutting surface from their own weight.

• Lower the blade again to be certain of alignment.



Tool Tips

• Bring the blade up to full speed before making the cut.

• Keep hands clear of the blade area.

• Allow the blade to stop completely BEFORE raising the blade arm.
